Lerners LLP is proud to congratulate three impressive young lawyers on their admission to the partnership: Joshua Lerner, Carly Moore, and Alec Yarascavitch.  

Joshua Lerner 

Joshua is a partner in our Toronto office with a practice focused on Health Law and Commercial Litigation. He advises healthcare clients on privacy, consent, and professional liability, and represents clients in medical negligence, employment disputes, and complex civil and regulatory matters. Joshua advocates for individuals and organizations before courts, tribunals, and commissions, delivering tailored strategies for each unique matter. 

Recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Health Care Law, Joshua approaches every case with empathy, tact, and a strategic mindset, ensuring effective advocacy for his clients. In addition to his healthcare expertise, he assists clients with business and contractual disputes, labour issues, and matters related to administrative and constitutional law. He is an active member of The Advocates’ Society, serving on the Young Advocates’ Standing Committee, and volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario. 

Carly Moore 

Carly is a partner in our Toronto office, recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for her work in Personal Injury Litigation. She has expertise in the areas of Health Law and Professional Regulation, Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Appeals, Personal Injury, and Sexual Abuse and Assault. Using a survivor-focused approach in her work on Sexual Abuse and Assault cases, she is committed to championing her clients and supporting them through every step of the process. 

Carly is actively involved in community legal support and advocacy organizations focused on women’s legal education and social justice, serving on the Executive Committee of the Hamilton Branch of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). 

Alec Yarascavitch 

Alec is a partner in our Toronto office with a background in law and emergency medicine, offering clients an informed and compassionate approach to medically complex legal issues. He brings a rare perspective to understanding injuries and their impact on clients’ lives, and he pursues their interests with confidence and determination.
