Compassionate and Willing to Advocate for Others

Sahar El-Kotob is a member of the Family Law Group in Lerners' London office. Understanding the nuanced nature of family-related legal issues, she assists her clients with matters relating to custody, marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, and separation agreements. She also protects their interests at court when disputes go to trial.

“I find family law to be a space where I can provide support to people who are transitioning through a really difficult time in their life,” explains Sahar.

Maintaining regular and frank communication with clients is a priority to Sahar. “As a family lawyer, I need to manage hard discussions with clients, because sometimes I’m delivering bad news. So, managing expectations is a big part of my role,” she says.

Having worked extensively with NGOs prior to law school, Sahar continues to prioritize volunteering in the community. She is a Board of Director at LIFE*SPIN, a registered charity in London led by sole-support mothers with the goal of alleviating

poverty in the community. She is also heavily involved with mentoring at Lerners.

Growing up in Lebanon, Sahar developed an avid love of sea life and a deep passion for skiing. When looking to unwind, she enjoys hot yoga classes.
