Practical Solutions, Fearless Advocacy

Kimberly Cura is a partner in Lerners’ London office where she maintains a practice focused on estates and trusts law, commercial disputes, and appellate advocacy. She has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, and has extensive experience in alternate dispute resolution settings, including mediations. Clients appreciate Kim’s practical and common-sense approach to her files and her commitment to delivering cost-effective strategies that meet their individual needs.

“I enjoy being in court, but litigation is often not the most practical and cost-effective option for clients,” says Kim. “Early resolution of disputes, especially disputes between family members, preserves the family relationship and

mitigates clients’ costs. Where litigation is necessary, I achieve results for my clients through meticulous preparation and fearless advocacy.”

In her estate litigation practice, Kim represents clients in cases involving will challenges, will interpretations, dependant support claims, passings of accounts, estate administration disputes, power of attorney disputes, and guardianship applications. In her commercial litigation practice, she acts for individuals and businesses in contractual and business disputes, including injunctions. Although based in the London office, Kim’s practice spans Southwestern Ontario, Toronto, and the GTA.

Kim enjoys mentoring articling students and is the firm’s liaison with Pro Bono Ontario at Children’s Hospital, LHSC. Kim devotes her time in service of the local bar as a Trustee for the Middlesex Law Association, and she also volunteers as a member of the Governance and Board Development Committee for the Southwestern Ontario chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Outside of work, Kim enjoys photography and pickleball. She is the devoted mom of two little girls and a standard poodle named Oreo.

Kim was born and raised in the Philippines and offers legal services in Tagalog and Kapampangan.
