Brienna French

Brienna French is an associate in the London and Waterloo offices of Lerners. She practises in the firm's Education Law, Personal Injury, Health Law, and Dispute Resolution and Advocacy groups.

Brienna graduated from Western Law in 2023 and completed her articles with the firm.“I value transparent communication, access to justice, and social equality,” says Brienna. “The legal system is complex, so I help people understand their rights. My personal injury clients feel seen and heard. I give them hope in a stressful situation.”

A keen environmentalist, Brienna is developing expertise in toxic torts, a subcategory of tort law involving injuries to plaintiffs caused by toxic substances. Brienna takes an individualized and compassionate approach to each case. “Every client’s situation is unique,” she says. “I demonstrate empathy and understanding each time.”

An injury suffered by a family member was Brienna’s introduction to the personal injury process — an experience that guided her into that area of law. “The lawyer connected him to rehabilitation providers and checked in on a regular basis. I saw how a personal injury lawyer can make a substantial difference in an individual's life,” she says. Born in London, she is active in the local community and has a master's degree in women's studies and feminist research.

Away from work, Brienna enjoys spending time outdoors foraging, gardening, and cycling. She is also a textile artist, with a particular love for embroidery.
