Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution Experience
Alfonso Campos Reales has practised exclusively in the area of civil litigation and dispute resolution since being called to the bar in 2010, with specific focus on plaintiff personal injury and insurance law, including the prosecution of insurance claims on behalf of insureds. Mr. Campos Reales’ practice is exclusively devoted to acting for plaintiffs in a wide spectrum of areas, including auto insurance, disability insurance, statutory benefits (first party insurance) claims and commercial premises liability.
Mr. Campos Reales has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as administrative tribunals, on behalf of plaintiffs. Most recently, he acted as plaintiff counsel in the Supreme Court of Canada’s latest tort law pronouncement on the duty of care in Rankin (Rankin’s Garage & Sales) v. J.J., 2018 SCC 19, which provides guidance to commercial business owners and insurers.
