About Michael

Michael Ng is a commercial, civil, and insolvency litigator in the Toronto office. He is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Advocacy; Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Insolvency; and Appeals groups. 

Michael’s practice focuses on complex contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, insolvency proceedings, and employment litigation. Michael has represented Canadian and U.S. companies across a broad range of industries including financial services, manufacturing, private equity, energy, and aviation. He has also acted as counsel to debtors and court-appointed monitors in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings. Michael has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and Nova Scotia and has significant experience in commercial arbitration. 

With experience in trials, appeals, arbitrations, and restructuring proceedings, Michael provides strategic advice to long-standing clients regarding the protection of their businesses. “The biggest value-add we can offer clients is being a trusted advisor,” says Michael. “By understanding a client’s business objectives, we can better tailor creative solutions to any difficult dispute problem.”
