About Mackenzie
Mackenzie Matheson is an associate in Lerners’ London office practicing personal injury law.
Mackenzie graduated from the University of Sussex Law in 2023 and was called to the bar in June 2025. However, her path to personal injury began before then. While completing her legal training in England, Mackenzie worked with two judges and saw firsthand how disorienting the legal system can be for people navigating it for the first time, especially when dealing with injuries. That experience shaped the kind of lawyer she wanted to become: someone who treats clients as people first, not files.
For Mackenzie, the most important part of her job happens outside the courtroom. She knows that an injury doesn’t just disrupt a person’s body; it disrupts their entire life. Her main priority is ensuring clients feel supported every step of the way, providing clear communication and practical guidance throughout the legal process so that they can focus on healing.
