About Jocelyn

Jocelyn Tatebe is an associate in the Toronto office of Lerners LLP. Focusing her practice on estate litigation, she helps clients resolve disputes involving wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. She is committed to providing exceptional client service and kind, thoughtful guidance to her clients. 

Before turning her focus to estates, Jocelyn spent a decade as a civil litigator in the area of insurance defence, developing deep experience with coverage issues.

She has also served as in-house counsel, gaining valuable insight into how legal advice affects clients beyond the courtroom. 

Jocelyn has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and has represented clients in judicial review proceedings before the Divisional Court.

A dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, Jocelyn actively contributes to community and professional organizations that promote equity, mentorship, and leadership among lawyers. She currently serves as Co-Vice-Chair of the Roundtable of Legal Diversity Associations and is the Immediate Past President of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario. She is also an active member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.
