An Outcome that Suits Each Client

Greg Woodward is a solicitor and litigator practising out of Lerners London office. He is a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution and Advocacy, and Land Development and Municipal Law groups.

Focused on understanding his clients’ goals, Greg crafts solutions to fit their needs, and achieve their desired outcomes. “I help clients with appeals to the Ontario Land Tribunal or making applications to the city to get permitting and zoning bylaw amendments,” explains Greg. “In my commercial litigation and dispute resolution and advocacy work, I deal with

anything from environmental litigation to contract disputes. In my municipal practice, I help clients with land development projects, from the initial stages to applications and appeals, if necessary.”

Maintaining regular communication is one way that Greg ensures clients make informed decisions about their choices, and how to proceed in a matter. “I set standards on the deliverables I'm going to provide, and the timing and follow-through on those are very important,” he says.

Greg’s previous experience includes working for the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. “In that role, I learned about appeals to property tax assessments. I found those arguments interesting and saw what a lawyer can do to advocate for their clients.” Holding a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Greg understands the science behind the decisions that communities make.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys playing a variety of sports including soccer, hockey, and cycling, trying new recipes, and spending time with his friends and family.
