Greg Cherniak is an associate in Lerners Toronto office. He maintains a broad litigation practice encompassing civil and commercial litigation, health law, and appellate advocacy. Greg has a particular interest in commercial disputes, public and administrative law, and professional regulation.
Greg has experience at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal for Ontario as well as the Federal Court of Appeal. Greg routinely appears before administrative tribunals, including the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.
Prior to joining Lerners, Greg served as a judicial law clerk for the judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. In this role, he assisted with disputes at the trial level and appeals before the Divisional Court. This experience provided him with keen insights into judicial decision-making and how best to strategically advance a client’s position.
