Jane has significant experience assisting various clients operating in the Education sector. She has acted as counsel to school boards and post-secondary institutions, individuals in administration, as well as in management-side and union-side labour relations.

Jane’s experience in education law is diverse and includes both litigation/proceedings and proactive/advice-based mandates.  She has assisted with policy drafting and overhauling, including policies related to sexual and gender based violence. She has advised clients in relation to issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. She defends against human rights applications before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and appears in the Superior Court and before the Labour Relations Board on behalf of clients. She is also involved in internal investigations including those stemming from complaints of discrimination and harassment and academic misconduct.
