Areas of Focus
Joe’s practice focuses on representing management clients in employment related litigation with an emphasis on wrongful dismissal, Human Rights and Employment Standards disputes. He has extensive trial experience and has successfully defended numerous claims brought against employers by dismissed or departed employees. Joe also works in the area of restrictive covenant litigation and has represented clients seeking to enforce contractual claims and remedies for breaches of fiduciary duties.
In addition to defending clients in litigation, Joe has extensive experience counselling employers in litigation avoidance and regulatory compliance issues. His experience ranges from helping corporations plan staff reductions to counselling human resources managers on employee discipline and termination issues.
