In this article written for Municipal Liability Risk Management, insurance defence lawyers, Kirk Boggs and Stuart Zacharias, revisit the tort of negligent police investigation after the pivotal decision by the Supreme Court of Canada in Hill v. Hamilton-Wentworth Regional Police Services Board in 2007. This review was precipitated by a recent decision of the Ontario Court of Appeal in 495793 Ontario Ltd. (c.o.b. Central Auto Parts) v.
