2nd Annual Campaign recognized Southwestern Ontario healthcare and rehabilitation workers at Gala Awards Show

TORONTO, April 21, 2022 – Lerners LLP, based in London with offices across Southwestern Ontario and Toronto is pleased to announce the award recipients of the 2nd Annual Lerners Healthcare Champions. The community campaign recognizes the contribution of healthcare and rehabilitation workers in Southwestern Ontario. “We are thrilled to announce the five tremendous individuals recognized as this year’s Lerners Healthcare Champions. Shelley Stockie – Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, LHSC – London, ON

Dr. Faisal Rehman – Nephrologist & Professor of Medicine – London, ON

Lucy DiPetro – Technical Coordinator, Microbiology WRH – Windsor, ON

Michelle Furtado-Nordstrom – Rehabilitation Therapist – Strathroy, ON

The Lerners Healthcare Champions will each receive a $5,000 donation made to the charity of their choice. The unveiling of the Healthcare Champions award recipients happened tonight at the Lerners Healthcare Champions Virtual Awards Gala. Emcee Jennifer Slay hosted an evening of action-packed entertainment featuring musical performances from outstanding Canadian artists Marty Kolls, Logan Staats, Dufferin St. Band and Chad Price, will keep audiences in the party mood.

Over the years, our healthcare and rehabilitation community has grown and is recognized as best in class. Many of our family members, friends, and neighbours work in the field and are committed to the care of all their patients and clients. Although COVID has and is a major part of all of our lives, the finalists and award recipients were not chosen for a one-year commitment to our community – they have volunteered their time and energy for many years.
