Lerners Stands with Ukrainian People

As an organization devoted to the rule of law and to the cause of justice, Lerners condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and expresses its steadfast solidarity with the Ukrainian people.  We also wish to express our solidarity with Ukrainians in our community who have contributed so richly to the essential fabric of Canadian life and culture in building a diverse, inclusive and democratic country.

This hostile aggression undermines the cause of freedom and democracy and aims to deny the Ukrainian people of their dignity and identity – all in violation of the basic principles of international law.  It has precipitated a terrible humanitarian crisis, evoking haunting memories of the destructive wars of the 20th Century.

Lerners is committed to offering our support to those suffering the destructive consequences of this aggression.
