Lerners supports Canada’s first provincial family law moot

The first annual Walsh Family Law Moot will take place at Osgoode Hall in Toronto on March 16, 2013. The moot, organized by the Ontario chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, will see students from five Ontario law schools participate in an appeal of a high-conflict family law case. Lerners is one of the competition sponsors, and Lerners partner Bill Clayton will serve on the panel of judges and senior family lawyers who are judging the competition. Lerners partners Leanna Simpson, Matthew Villeneuve and Jennifer Howard, joined by three of the firm’s articling students, are also lending a hand, by hosting practice rounds for the Walsh Moot teams from the University of Windsor and Western University.
